This week, Graceful Grit will be covering self-care, and what it means to each of us. In a world of hustle and bustle, it is easy to forget how important it is to care for ourselves. We give to others constantly, but it is a necessity to take time for rest, so that the well we draw our energies from does not go dry. We at Graceful Grit support the concept of self-care and self-love, in addition to our support for the noble feeling of compassion and the selfless sacrifices of women for others. Carry on, strong and enigmatic women of America, in your pursuits to provide the world with a shoulder to lean on and cling to, but do not forget that caring for ourselves is just as important as every act of labor, every act of charity, and every act of care that we provide to other people.
This week, we present the following articles:
Monday, Lorraine Hall will discuss methods of rest and denying the stigma of laziness in “Dismissing the Stigma of Laziness that Surrounds Self-Care.”
Alyssa Hohorst will cover the power and value of vulnerability, on Tuesday, in “Healing Power of Tears.”
On Wednesday, Keira Mountain will share an holistic approach to self-care in “Self-Care Isn’t Just Bubble Baths and Candles.”
Thursday, Angel Jameson will reveal what self-care means in motherhood in “A Mother’s Search for Self-Care.”
Julie Wright will wrap up on Friday by showing us how self care is like an oxygen mask in “Finding Your Oxygen Mask.”
